To earn the totem, the kid must know: 

1. The Tiger Cub Motto: 

    Search, Discover, Share

2. The cub scout Sign

3. The cub scout Salute

4. The Tiger Cub Promise: "I promise to love God, my family, my country, and to learn about the world"

Once he earns the Totem, to earn the Tiger Cub rank the Tiger Cub  must complete a Family Activity, a Den Activity, and a "Go See It" Activity in each of five Achievement Areas:

1. Making My Family Special
2. Where I Live
3. Keeping Myself Healthy and Safe
4. How I Tell It
5. Let's Go Outdoors
