          Registration Form:

o      Please make sure every part of the form is filled out and complete.  

o      Payment should accompany registration from.

o      Fees help pay for the following:

o      BSA insurance coverage.

o      BSA sponsored activities.

o      Boys Life Magazine subscription.

o      Awards that the boys will receive.

o      The Pinewood Derby in February.

o      The Blue and Gold Banquet in March.

o      Den Materials.

o      Other Activities

o      A child cannot participate until fees are paid (this is due in part to insurance requirements).  

 

Uniform:

o      The official uniform of pack 419 is as follows:

o      Jeans are generally worn, however, full uniform is wonderful.

o      Belt.

o      Blue uniform shirt with patches (See Scout Handbook for details on where patches go).

o      Neckerchief with slide.

o      Cap.

o      No uniform for Cub Scout parents.

Achievement Patches and Awards:

o      All Cub Scouts work toward earning their Badges and Patches.

o      Requirements to earn these badges and patches are described in the Cub Scout Handbook.

o      Achievements outlined in the Handbook are intended to be accomplished with the scout and the parents working together.

o      Tiger beads, arrow points and compass points are earned by completing the “Electives” sections in the handbook.

o      All patches are to be worn on the left pocket of the uniform.  

          Den Meetings:  

o     Den meetings are always on the first three Tuesdays of each month.  

o      We will have a short activity time for the boys at 6:50 p.m. in order to allow time for everyone to arrive.  The meeting itself will begin promptly at 7 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

o      No Den meetings on official school holidays.

o      All meetings will be held at Duluth First United Methodist Church.

o      Cub Scout uniform is to be worn to every meeting.

o      Bring Cub Scout Handbook to every meeting.

o      The meetings consist of: working on achievements, electives, and structured fun.  

o      Games and fun activities may “go off the book”.  Parent ideas for fun activities at meetings are welcome and appreciated.

o      One parent, or other responsible adult, must attend each meeting with the child.

 

Pack Meetings:

o     In addition to the Den Meeting rules remember that:

o      The Pack will meet on the last Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.

o      All Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos come together for a combined meeting.

o      There will be skits performed by the boys, and an Awards recognition ceremony.

o      Full Scout uniform is worn to every Pack meeting.

o      This is an excellent opportunity to “show off” what our boys have been learning and doing in the Den meetings.     

Volunteering Needs:

o      Help with ideas and preparation for the ten-minute pre-Den activity.  

o      Help with providing snacks.

o      Help with preparing, demonstrating, or teaching a Den activity.

o      Please be prepared to help whenever you can.
